Lower Richland High School
Class Of 2000
Candice Jones
After High School, I went to the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC for my undergraduate degree. I absolutely loved living in the Chucktown! I became a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. in college as well.
I then went on to Florida International University in Miami, FL for my Masters degree.
My most embarrassing moment was tripping UP the stairs to the MS building in front of a large crowd. I was trying to hurry before the bell rung! Initially, I thought no one saw me, but when I heard the explosion of laughter from the students that hung out after the bell, I knew that it was obvious. It was sooo embarrassing. I think some of my books and stuff tumbled down the stairs a bit too!
Teachers:
These are not my favorite teachers, but I can remember like yesterday two teachers. Ms. Smith, AAP History, who used to give EVERYONE a failing grade (like the highest grades were always a 45/100) and how I would become ANGRY everytime I got my test back from her. She would do this weird thing with her face everytime you called her name and squint like it wasnt funny.
Another teacher was Ms. Rousseau, who was some type of Russian exchange teacher, who clearly didnt know what she was getting herself into. She taught Math in one of those trailers. I was like the only student that actually turned in work...I felt so bad for her. Students would just walk out when they felt like it..and she was too scared to report them. God bless her, where ever she is!
