Judith... Hope all is well in your family. I was wondering if you knew who oversee's this app for us? Not much has shown for quite a while. It's understood that we are all in our 70's now but "attendance" here seems to have stopped quickly.
Thankfully my family is pretty well. Irene (Healy) and I have four sons, 46 to 53 and seven grand kids 12 - 21. We live in Rochester (Greece) since '71 after I got out of the Army. We lost a daughter-in-law two years ago to sudden brain failure causing death. The group as a whole is charging on quite well. The Town of Veteran is still a great part of my thoughts, tied in, of course to HHS. Hope, you can let me know about this app.
Hello Dick! Went through here a few days ago and noticed a couple of names of HHS'rs who passed recently. I did not recognize the names and did not see in our yearbook. I am sure there were kids listed, but from another year. Take a look.
All is well in the Goodwin clan. 7 grandkids now, Our first grand to hit age 21 this past December now makes Irene and I "Old People" for sure!
Rochester (Monroe County, Greece) has proven to be a great place chosen those many years ago.
A big Happy Birthday to you,Cheryl! I hope you enjoy the big day!
It has been a WOW year for us. Irene turned 75 in October, I did in November and our first grandson, Ryan turned 21 in December. We slid into "old age" when he became an official "adult."
I hope life is treating you well and no problems.
A grand life for you continues...
I was sitting on our back deck and for some reason I started to remember HHS with our friends.
Do you remember going to a few of the Friday night dance nights? It came over me with a real smile. I distintinctly remember us saying how this girl is so cute, this girl is a great kid, etc., etc. We were never gruff or talking in disgusting ways. I know a couple of our little group have passed away, but I wonder how the remaining of us are doing. I thought about a party I seet up at my house on a Saturday night and invited several girls and other guys who said they would be there. As it turned out, you and Wayne K, only came over. I guess I didn't have friendship with many others. I do remember how kind you were about it.
The last time I remembered this, I was in the Army, 56 years ago!! I guess the beautiful day here made me chuckle about the past.
I still think of our good times in Horseheads. Hope all is well with you.
Hope your Birthday was fun. Mine still is with 7 grand kids!
things still reasonably healthy for us here. Time marches on!!
Been a while, Gene! Hope all is well with you.
Being "OLD" isn't bad at all. our eldest grandson just celebrated his 21st birthday in South Carolina. To me, that made us Officialy "old timers." Two more upcoming to that age and then the three youngest move on up. So good having grandkids.'
Planning a trip (hour and a half) to Horseheads to bring back memories of a good life there.
Rochester (Greece) has been a good choice since getting out of the Army. Boy, that was a while ago. Me, a soldier? I still wonder about those days!
Enjoy your birthday and know you are remembered a great guy!!
Well the Birthday is up-coming! Hope it is a true Happy One!!
I cannot help but remember how pleassed I was when we ran into eacy other at RIT. To find someone I knew in a place, that at the time, I was just getting used to it here. Irene and I had three kids, if I recall correctly and we had just purchased our first home. Work was brand new and and a lot was on my mind. So, it was nice to see you and I think of it even now as our first grandson recently turned 21 and us 75, Old timers now with 7 new timers!!!! Have a great Birthday!

So sorry to hear of your wife's passing. Prayer for you and your family builds among your classmates. My wife made my Army life passable as well as our continued life today.
Hi Suzie! I was speking with Wes Blauvelt today and asked him if he had any idea where Ed Flynn may be. Not knowing, he suggested a note to you for possible answer. Would appreciate if you do.
Thanks...

I completely forgot to mention you and your Hubby's difficulties. I have discovered as well the act of falling over for no reason. I have cought myself, telling me to exercise more caution now while walking, etc. Being 75 now has its cautions built in, that we sometimes will forget!
Hi Suzanne! Here we are in Spring time 2024. I drove by R.I.T. the other day and boom...you came to mind again! I hope all is well with you and Jesse. Our grandkids are getting older now with a great deal more to do than bother with us; however, they still join us once in a while. Our first son turned 21 and since we are both 75, we are officially OLD. but fortunatly all is well.
Best wishes for good times!
Bob
Cheryl... Been quite a while since last info of how you are doing. So,,, how are things going with my former HHDS Bus partner? Was thinking of this yesterday when a school bus pulled up next to me on my way to the grocery store!! We are well and loving our time with our 7 grandkids. One is an adult now (21) a Junior at College of Charleston. The other six are getting up there now as well! NO healh issues (yet!!) and planning a trip or three soon.

I wondered if I told you about this piece of my family history here in Monroe County...
We moved to Hamlin only a couple of years in Rochester after Army duty. All four of our sons went to Brockport Central Schools.
When our first son (Mark) started Brockport Junior High I looked at the names of the teachers and principal.
Bingo...The principal of the Junjior High at that time was Wilson Buddle.
Do you recognize that name?
He was a 9th grade (my class!!) English teacher at Horseheads Junior High ((th grade building).
When the first open house at the school occured, I took our 9th grade year book to the get together. Irene and I were walking up to the front door stairs with me carrying the year book so it could be seen fairly well. Mr. Buddle looked at us and had an imense smile on his face. He was the teacher who oversaw the books development and publishing. He recognized me and after he said "Hello" he mentioned that he saw our son's name on his listing. It was and still is a memory I will not forget. All four of our sons went to his school.
Mr. Buddle is still living in Brockport. I thought I'd let you know (possibly again!)
