William (Billy) Sams (Class of 1959) Sams

I graduated from The Old H.H.H.S. Building in 1959
I Worked several jobs before working for Abington Township and retired from there in 2002 after 41 years of service
I was a Chairman for the Abington Townwatch Program Which I received the Governors award for Crime Prevention in 1984
I have been called the founding father of the Roslyn Townwatch
I was and still active in the Boy Scout Program
I spent many years with the Abington React Team working with the Abington Police
I just celebrated my 75th Birthday What a Wonderful Life.
My Wife has Dementia. I am dealing with it the Best I can
Having Medical Problems at Home. I am still Hanging in there after 81 years old. Yipee !
ow! Can't believe it has been 79 years in Sept 1st that I was Born in Ky. Time sure does Fly when you are having Fun and It has Surely been a Ride.
Been retired 22 years and looking for the other 22 years
Just celebrated 55th reunion from the class of 59
The Cold Winter of 14-15 is over and can't wait to start my garden
March 2016 is Finally Here and it comes in like a lamb and Oh My I hope it stays that way
September, I will be 79, Can't believe it but Time Flies when you are having fun and oh what a Ride it has been. Christmas and New Years Day is Gone but Santa left a Lot of Goodwill in our household.
In September 2018 I reached the Young age of 80. Can't wait till I'm 85 as I was Promised a Birthday Party.
My Wife Doris was Diagnosed with dementia.
My Hardest Thing in Life was Losing My Wife of nearing 30 years
Doris Passed away Feb.3rd 2021
Trying To Move Forward without Doris. I think I am doing really well for an 83 year old Single man.

There are many Good School Memories But I think the
Favorite one is when I played Football and Ran Track
I set the High Jump school Record of 6 Ft 2 inches which of course has long been broken since my Track days.
The class of 1960 and the class of 1959 had a very close relationship
Many of these classmates I still keep contact with after all these years
