Grover Robert Garrison, 78, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2019, at Phelps County Regional Medical Center, Rolla.

He was born April 6, 1941, in Raymondville, son of Robert and Rosa Dykes Garrison.

He grew up in Raymondville, attending school there before graduating from Houston High School in 1959. He served in the Army from 1960-1966. He married Connie Gamble.

He worked most of his life as a truck driver, driving across the United States seeing many sights.

He enjoyed reading, yard work and collecting guns. Some of his best times though were spent with family and his fantastic grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a stepfather, Waide Dykes; his wife, Connie Garrison; and a grandson.

Survivors include two children, Robert Garrison and Ashley Garrison; stepchildren, Timothy Lutz and Travis Lutz; 13 grandchildren; and two sisters, Irene Western and Delma Lindaman.

Services are 11 a.m. Saturday, July 6, at Evans Funeral Home with Wesley Wallace officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Grover Garrison Memorial Fund c/o Evans Funeral Home.
