James Nelson Rust, Deceased February 19, 1960

James Nelson Rust, son of Nelson Clovis Rust and Rachel Frances Wells, was born at Houston, on July 18. 1911 and died February 19, 1960. He was preceded in death by his mother in 1949 and since that time made his home with his maternal grandmother Mrs. Sylvia Smith. He attended school here and was graduated in 1959. After graduation he worked in Kansas City, Mo making frequent visits home on weekends. In the early teens he was converted and united with the United Methodist Church and at the time of his death was a member of the Houston Methodist Church. He is survived by his brother, Scott Ernest Rust, his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Sylvia Smith. Also surviving are his stepfather Dorsey R. Wells of Santa Rosa California, his father Nelson Clovis Rust of Mtn. Home Ark. and his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Scott Rust of Cabool. Services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. in the Methodist Church in Houston, with Rev. William Jacobs officiating. Pallbearers were Duke Tweed, Jim Creason, Jim Presley, David Rastorfer, Donald Shelhammer and John Watson. Burial was in the Pine Lawn cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
