Jennie Dice (Lambert) Turner, Deceased February 3, 1966

Former Resident Takes Own Life -- A 26-year-old former Houston woman, Mrs. Jennie Dice Turner, ended her own life Feb. 3 in St. Louis by firing a bullet into her chest at her home on Lindbergh Boulevard. Relatives here said that there was no apparent motive and stated that Mrs. Turner had been in good health. The daughter of B. D. and Minnie Lambert, she was born at Bucyrus and was graduated from Houston High School. She had lived in St. Louis for the past eight years. According to relatives, Mrs. Turner took her children to a super market next door to her home and instructed the children to wait for her. She then went to her residence, locked the door and used a heavy .45 revolver to end her life, Her husband, Wayne, formerly of Alton, Mo. , was away from home at the time of the shooting, about 9 p.m. He is employed as an architect in St. Louis.
 

In addition to her husband and three small children, she is survived by two brothers: T. A. Lambert, Bucyrus and William J, Lambert, St. Louis, seven sisters, Mrs. Virginia Maasden and Mrs. Edna Gobble, both of Houston; Mrs. Miriam Grandon, Sherri, Mo. ; Mrs. Alma Jean Fischer, Milwaukee, WI., Mrs. Harold Graves, Wautoma, Wis., and Mrs. Luella Heffington and Miss Doris Lambert, both of St. Louis. Funeral services were conducted Saturday at the Evans-Elliott Chapel with the Rev. Ervin Morton officiating. Burial was in the Emery cemetery.
