Donnie Ray Taylor, Deceased March 2, 1992

Donnie Ray Taylor, 50, son of David Oscar Taylor and Lois Hopper Portrey, was born Aug. 21, 1941, at West Helena, Ark. He died March 2,1992, of a gunshot wound to the head. A 1959 graduate of Houston High School,- he graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic School in Kansas City in May 1966 and began his practice in 1967 at Houston. He was also a pilot Mr. Taylor was a member of the Ozark Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jimmie Taylor. Surviving are two sons, Jimmy David Taylor and Steven Russell Taylor of Piedmont; his step-parents, Lester and Jenny Portrey of Houston and Dean Taylor of Double Springs, Ala.; four sisters, Betty Wyatt of Mountain Grove, Linda Jarrctt of Big Piney, Beverly Jones of Houston and Susie Taylor of Cabool; and a half brother, Billy Taylor of Cullman, Ala. Services were March 7 at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kendall Ford officiating. Burial was in the Pine Lawn Cemetery.
