I moved from Houston to Reston, VA during the summer of 1986.
I went to high school at South Lakes High School in Reston. I had a difficult time during my junior year due to moving away from all of the friends that I knew and loved in TX.
Things got better for my senior as I was making new friends. I graduated on June 15, 1988 which was 10 days before I turned 19. lol
I went for a year of community college studying travel and tourism but decided that school just isn't for me. I wanted to be a flight attendant, but due to my eyesight not being good enough, I wasn't able to do that.
I started working as a receptionist/office assistant at many different companies.
I was engaged four times prior to meeting my husband on August 3, 1995. It was finally the relationship I was looking for. We were married on April 19, 1997.
On December 8th, 1999, I gave birth to my first daughter. I desperately tried to find a way that I could raise her myself and not a babysitter. I couldn't quit my job at the time so I had to work to find something that would work. So during maternity leave (3 months), I searched and found a job as a school bus driver for Loudoun County Public Schools. This was what I was looking for! A part time job with full time benefits and the best part I could take my daughter with me!
In June of 2002, my son, Dakota, came into this world. I was so proud. Now I had a girl and a boy! Woohoo!
During this time, my husband started his own heating and air conditioning business. So I had a newborn and daughter, drove a bus, and ran his business in between runs. I was stressed!
The business hadn't been doing very well in 2004 when we got the news that I was pregnant with a third child. It was a very stressful pregnancy. I know they say that stress isn't good on the unborn baby but you would be amazed. Savannah was born on November 5. She is the happiest child!
In June 2005, I had worked for 5 1/2 years driving a school bus but my oldest daughter was going to kindergarten. We lived two counties away from where I drove a bus so her half day kindergarten schedule was not possible with my driving. So I quit to be a stay at home mom. Besides it was more sane to stay home because getting up that early in the morning with three kids to get on the bus, was really getting to be too much.
My husband, Mitch, is a HVAC Superintendent for Lincoln Construction. (A commercial construction company.) He is also a part time Dirt Late Model racer.
If you have any more questions for me, please don't hesitate to ask.
I miss all my Texas friends. Love ya, Erica (Lizbeth) Eppler Miller
Let's see...well, there was choir and Mommy Ness. She was such a perfectionist but we loved her.
Coach Raper was always a trip with his leg twisting around and him calling me E-cubed instead of Erica.
I was on the swim team for both years of high school. I still love to swim but don't get the opportunity to do much anymore.
