School Story:
Gosh - if my brain could just remember yesterday! I love the BIG HAIR look that we all proudly displayed in the 80's! My daughter looked at one of my year books the other day and asked "Mom, I don't mean to be rude but (this is her permission slip to be just that) did you mean to make your hair look like that?" followed by, "why?" Sad thing is - I couldn't give her an answer! One of my fondest memories was our Hastings prom. For many of us this was our first dance ever! no debs, no homecoming dances (that anyone really attended), no junior prom etc. It made the senior prom all the more exciting and special. We went all out and our parents did too! sweet memories indeed! Many of us were very active in Young Life in Alief. Truly some of my best memories came from Monday night clubs, Wednesday night campaigners, and YL summer camps. Good clean crazy fun! (fun that we can share all details with to our kids!) Because of the impact YL had on my life, John and I are very active on the YL committee here in Fort Worth and active in putting Christ in front of High School kids. I praise God that many of us are alive to reflect on and share our memories! (His grace and protection was and is so good.)
