I remember it was 1987 our first year to have a football team. Every male student had to play otherwise we wouldn't have enough players for a team. Our first year we won 1 pre-game and lost every game that year. The experience was great however, and one which I wound not trade. We worked really hard that year. Training was no fun. We had 2 a days, rolling around in fire ant beds that were more like hidden land mines. Those fire ants had small legs but they could get inside your suit start biting you before you realized it. One was not allowed to strip down and get under a water hose, much less go inside. The coaches really didn't care about fire ants being in your suit. Becuase we were so sucessful at building other teams self esteem coach decided that he would work on ours by having us work out especially hard under the hot sun, in a field full of fire ants with temp's in the hundreds.
