Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the reunion. However, I hope everyone has a wonderful time reconnecting. Since I will not have the opportunity to see everyone and get caught up, I'll give a quick update. ;-)
After graduating from IKE I attended Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, FL. I graduated in 2003 with a B.S. in Public Relations. Immediately after graduating, I moved to Washington D.C., and then to Miami, FL.
For the majority of my professional career I have been in the non-profit healthcare arena. Currently I work for the University of Miami's School of Medicine as a Marketing Specialist/Community Relations Manager for a cancer clinic. I am humbled daily with the patients and cancer survivors that I interact with on a daily basis. Luckily my job is to brighten their day in some small way. ;-)
I'm also very involved with helping the youth of one of Miami's inner city neighborhoods. I'm currently in the process of relocating to Chicago, IL.
I hate that I will not be able to reunite with all my old IKE classmates. But I know you all will definitely have enough fun for me. ;-) I hope that everyone has a safe and refreshing experience.
