Well, Cliff called me tonight and we talked for about 2 hours or more. We got on line and we started looking people up and trying to remember everyone... I've gotten old, sigh not only do i have a 24 year old daughter but I have a 3 year old grandson that is the cutest thing there is. My grandson is cuter than your grandson Cliff. I can say that with no reservations. I was happy to see that some of you aged just like me..... but others... you make me sick :) you know who you are. the ones that still look like they are in their late 20's. What can I say, I'm a grandma and I look like one. I can't help but see people like I did in high school when I rummage up memories. Then I look at some of the pictures here and I'm starting to realize.... heck I am getting older. The pictures in our minds stay young just like in a photo album and then you brought to sudden reality when you start looking at the recent photos of everyone. Its hard to believe that it has been 30 years since we were in high school. So many years have passed and it does not seem as if it really has been that long at all. By the way,Sharon Mantey Finny, you cheated, we want to see recent photos not the old ones.
Well, I have been married and divorced twice. I'm not sure if it counts as twice or not because I married the same man both times. No I didn't marry my high school sweet heart Joe Sanchez. That is another story all together. I'm now with Russell Long, we have been together for 8 years now, longer that my two marriages put together. Just kidding, but not by much. We have 10 acres in Dayton, Texas. I still work in Houston. It is about 100 miles round trip, 1 hours drive one way. I'm a hermit... I go to work and come home. I'm a scrap book Junkie. I would be a full time crafter if I could. I have a full room dedicated to my scrapbook habit. Always looking for someone to scrap with. I guess I live far enough out and have enough land that we could make this place a scrap book weekend retreat. I'm really a everyday normal boring grandma living in Dayton Texas and loving it.
I was looking in the "in Memory" and was so surprised to see so many have passed on. It was a reality check. I still remember the first funeral I attended after we were out of high school and that was Grady Steeples. Its been a long time and I still have not forgotten him.
I have not decided yet, if I'm going to attend the reunion or not. But if I do I will see ya there. Stop bugging me Cliff, you will know as soon as I do!!
I have a "My Space" account that my nephew created for me, but I'm not sure how to use it - LOL, told you i was getting old. I will have to get my daughter to come over and school me on it. Looking forward to getting in touch with some old friends that I have not spoken with in a long time.
