Jimmy and I were in choir together starting in third grade at Helms and continuing through Hamilton with Dot Bristow then high school at Reagan with GW. In third grade (he was a semester behind me as I was a mid-termer), he and I were selected to represent our school in a city-wide choral performance at the Music Hall. I last saw Jimmy at our 40th reunion. He was still wearing that famous smile. I know he loved the Lord and is smiling in His presence while singing in that Heavenly choir. Jimmy will be missed.
Jimmy was a dear friend. I had a hard time in high school until I met Jimmy. I owe him a great deal...his encouragement and example helped me make it through and kept me on a straight path. Phileo, brother.
I was saddened to hear of Jimmy's passing. He was good friend at Hamilton and Reagan. Such a kind, funny and caring person. When I think of Jimmy I remember his smile. I like to think you're smiling in heaven right now.
Dear Jimmy, so sorry to hear about youe passing. I know my mother always wanted me to marry you, but how does a young girl tell her mother a boy is too good and too smart for her? I had a five minute phone limit with others, but you and I could talk for hours, I guess becuse my mom knew we were reading poetry to each other. Maybe now I can stop crying, my head and my stomach will feel better. and I can start sleeping again. Agape, Dear Friend. Sleep well, Sweet Prince.
