Guess you guys have all gone to bed:) What an amazing day today, for everyone of us to be a part of what will become a great part of our history! I think about my grandparents sharing stories of times of the past...this it what they must have been feeling as they actually experienced it! No matter how we voted we still have a great story to share with our future grandchildren!!!!

Deana Sampson (Jenkins) Becky darling, I hope you feel better soon! I hate getting sick. When anyone gets anything around here, I am an army of get well remedies. My home methods work really good too! LOL That, and I follow them around with Lysol, antibacterial wipes, changing linens...becasue when I get it, oh man, I hate it. So I hope you feel better soon! Andrea, that lil thing cracked me up!

Lauryn had blast from the past day. She choose the 80's. I did her hair and her make up. She texted me from school to tell me that everyone loved her hair. Her drama teacher told her she looked like every girl in the year book from that time frame....LOL. We got everything just perfect except for the shoes. They just haven't brought back the right shoes for the era. She went with the heels...LOL I'm really disappointed with Aquanet hairspray though. I specifically got it for today and it just doesn't have the stiffness like it use to! I also forgot just how long it took to do that to your hair. Plus it's a lot harder doing that to someone elses hair than it is your own. As she got out of the car and started walking towards the school I have to admit, I teared up. I swear it was like looking at myself walking across that school yard!

Rebecca Atchison (Welch) Lauryn looks amazing!!!!! It's ok V I could never get the big hair thing down even when it was in style...my hair was the worst!!!! Thanks Deana...I feel so crappy....I could curl up some where and sleep all day, but the kids would just find me and wake me up:) Oh well....awaiting a good home rememdy for the crud:) For now it's off for a breathing treatment!

Hey everyone... Becky- I hope you get better sweetie.
V- You nailed it. She looks amazing. That just took me back to the good ole days. Loved the hair and blue shadow. Can you say WOW???
On the political front I do have to say that Sen. McCain gave a very gracious speech. He did offer to help our new president . I thought that was very big of him.
Congratulations to our new president. Do us proud!!!
On a sadder note...I just saw that an old school friend of mine Ginger Bennett posted that her dad just passed away.
My prayers are with Ginger and her family.

Louis Jackson VJ, damn, girl, u really have a flair. I remember that look so well too. It seems like just a year or two ago. Actually I am glad the 80s ended though. We looked ridiculous. Hehehe. My flat top hair cut, I even tried a Jerry Curl for a while. DAMN! That was back in middle school though. Thankfully none of you were around during my middle school days. Whew, no evidence.

OMG! LJ. That bought back a ninth grade memory. I don't remember his name or what class it was. I remember a guy that sat in the last desk at the back of the room. He would lean his desk back and would fall asleep. There was a chalk board directly behind him. Every time the bell rang and he got up to leave he also left an oily spot on the board. It was so funny. I cant believe I remembered that. I was always thinking he was gonna fall and leave a really good impression on that board... lol.

I don't know what to think anymore!

I was reading some articles in the paper today and I am at a loss! I read in article about a woman who put her dead baby in a garbage bag and simply threw her out in the garbage. I read an another article about 4 Marines who killed a Marine Sgt. and his wife. Then there is another article about a Marine who is being charged with the death of his 2 year old step son. What the hell is the world coming to. I have my own things that are going on in my own life. Things I don't really understand, but killing a child or even another human being are not on my list of ways to make it better. Granted there are times that I think wrapping my hands around someone's neck and squeezing until their eyes pop out would make me feel better, I still say it's not something I would actually do. I look at the world around me and I feel like I don't know what direction I should be going in. I wonder if there there is a light at the end of the tunnel, or is it just another train coming to roll me over. The articles I read mostly pertain to Marines since that is what is around me, but I've heard the same stories regarding Army, Navy, and the Air Force. I've also have heard the same stories regarding civilians as well. What has happened to our world? Has it been this way and I'm finally seeing it? The whole thought is making me sick. Making me sick to the point I wonder if there is any hope left.

Deana Sampson (Jenkins) I hear ya V...It is just as bad in the civillian world. It is just gutwrenching to watch the news. I always walk away from it asking "How could they do that?" No matter what though, always have hope.

Hey Everyone!

Deana I saw a shirt in the little girl toddler dept last night at Walmart that reminded me of you. It said Peace Love and Joy. Of course I had to buy it for Bailey!:)
So we'll think of you when she wears it:)

I finally got a number from our adjuster on our home damage. The depreciated value (keep in mind that our home is 9 yrs old) shows the damage at $17,000.00, thank goodness we have a full replacement policy so as we make one repair we can send it the reciepts and be reimbursed for the full cost. CRAZY!!!!! I am dreading to see the actual cost of fixing everything!!!

Are You Freakin Kidding Me???
My husband just called because he always calls when he leaves work to ask if I need him to pick up anything. He is kinda sweet that way...lol. He informed me that his sis called to ask him to go to their parents house tomorrow to help arrange furniture. They painted the entire inside of the house. I guess she thinks she is a interior decorator now. He told her that he is working tomorrow and doing a side job after. She said that she would come over and pick up Alyssa to take with her.
Again I ask... ARE YOU FREAKIN KIDDING ME??? There is no way in hell that she is taking my daughter anywhere. Dave told her he had to go and would call her back. What is she??? Bi-polar I'm so confused by her tactics.
Sorry but I had to vent.

I'm telling you, it's 2 hours before we are suppose to leave and quite frankly I really just don't feel like getting all dressed up for this mess. Morning all,
Vicky- you could wear some sparkley pjs, maybe that would be okay:)

Destruction of the house has offically begun. We spent the last three days with hammers and crobars swinging. We have gotten most of the sheetrock out, just Ryan's and the living room left. It was kinda fun to get to tear up the place. One of Chelsea's friends stopped at the house with us the other day and I handed her a hammer and told her to swing and the wall. Her eyes got huge and she said noooo. I just laughed at her and said when will you ever have one of your friends moms give you permission to knock out the wall? She made a hole in the wall and just laughed. Her and Chelsea were like little kids, just giggling and making holes in the walls. If anyone knows of a good local person that does framing and roofing, I am looking. I had to make a deal with Kevin that we pay someone to do the framing and the roof, but we will hang the sheetrock ourselves. He wants to everything himself. I don't want him falling through the rafters and braking his back. We have had enough bad luck.
