Well I will be there for that party!!!!! And I love Hurricanes...although I would be a drunken fool after a few sips:)...It's unfortuanate circumstances that led to having to redo the house but I am still so excited to see what it will look like after:)

V---be good:) otherwise you'll end up in that small town paper....What's that Miranda Lambert song???
Everybody dies famous in a small town:)

Jonel Bishop (Lockler)

I've got an air mattress you can drink all the hurricanes you want Becky.

B-every time something happens in this town I think about that song. I swear everyone knows everyone and I think it some twisted way they are all connected, either by blood or marriage. I will be so glad when I get to leave this place. I'll be even more happy when I can get rid of the 9000 peices of green crap that is floating around my house. I'm telling you I could start my own military with the amount of crap that is around here.

Joni-I'm not worried about that little statement. Trust me there is a lot more incriminating evidence floating around. I've said for a long time, anything happens to john I better have a REALLY good alibi...LOL Hell a paper up in Alaska quoted me as saying, "I'm going to collect on my husband's SGLI" Granted it was in connection to a piece of military training where they all jumped into 36 degree water. They had to cut thru 22 inches of ice to make the hole then all the guys jumped in it to prepare for a Toys for Tots run. See so yeah not worried about that statement alone......they have way to much other stuff on me...LOL.

Joni- I may need it. My professional drinking days hvae long been over:) Even then they weren't that good.

V- you are tooooooo much!!!!

Andrea those after pictures were indiscribable!!! Thanks for always keeping us informed....Which leds me to the question of what is going on with the plans for the Dinoland theme park thing outhere in New Caney??? I have heard a variety of rumors that Disney is now invovled to it's been postponed a few yrs.....I figure if any one knows it will be you:)

OMG!!! Today was cleaning day. I went through some boxes hoping to find my yearbook but found my prom dress instead. It is so 80's. Its a short pink dress with sequins, metallic, and lace. I had pink fingerless gloves (so Madonna) and pink satin pumps. The whole outfit was so (Pretty In Pink)...lol. I don't have any prom pics unless my mom has any. My ex-husband burned mine. I will have to take a pic of the dress and post. I held it up against me to see how small I was. I probably could not fit one leg in it...lol. I'm so glad I kept it. Just seeing it bought back so many memories.

OK we have had the discussion that my brain tends to wander at times. Well here is the latest thing my mind has wandered off to. Gothic people, if they truly think they don't matter to society, and they don't care what they look like to others, or want to look like other people, then why do they wear so much make up? Seriously, most of them claim they just want to blend into the back groud, so here's a thought, how about laying off the 9 pounds of black eyeliner? Maybe it's just me, but it was just a thought that crossed my mind.....LOL.

Ya know V makes me think that big hair wasn't such a bad fad after all:) I mean our kids may pick on us but I would rather have big hair then 9 lbs of make up on my face. However, does make you wonder whats going on in these kids lives to make them dress that way. Personally my kids are expected to dress appropriately!
They can find a million other ways to express themselves:) should they feel the need to do so.

Bren love that you found your dress...that is soooo cool! You should take a pic and post it up for us:) Maybe it will be back in style by the time Alyssa gets in high school! LOL

Oh Deana-I talked to Schaun tonight. He said he tried to email you, but his internet was acting goofy. He does know where Robert is and is going to get you that info. Just in case this message gets to you before Schaun does.

Hello again I just wanted to remind everyone about the different donations that we have going on! I know Deana The Great posted them on the intro page but I figured I'd remind everyone here just to keep the excitement going. So ask you family and friends for those used coats, hats, and gloves they are no longer using. Or clean out that blanket closet:) And don't forget to support our troops anyway you can!!!!! Dec 12th is not to far away!!!! Go Tigers!!

Hey! Where is everyone?? Just wanted to check in! My days, are getting better. My husband is up and walking around now. It's 4 weeks today. Can you believe it? He goes to physical therapy twice a week and does some exercising daily. He's slowly getting his strength back.I know it won't be long and he'll be back to being normal again! He's already banging on his drums again! Which I really haven't missed!LOL! Anyways, now I'm at home today, playing hookie with my kids.I had a flu shot yesterday and have a fever and acheness all over now. Didn't sleep well last night, either, so decided just to keep us all at home today! That's the down side of the shot for me, but still beats having the real thing for a week! Hope everyone else is doing fine!

Liendo Plantation has their "Civil War Weekend" This weekend Nov. 22 & 23.You can tour the Mansion and walk the grounds, where soldiers & vendors dress & act the part. They have a civil war reenactment about mid-day.I went last yr. with my nephew for a fieldtrip and will be going this Friday for my daughter's fieldtrip. It's alot of fun for the kids. You can get info at Liendo.org.

Hey Sheryl... Glad to hear about your husband. Sorry That your not feeling well. Those flu shots can be hell. I was mad at Dave. His workplace was giving them to their employees for free and the big baby didn't get it because he doesn't like needles. Who does? Well he got the flu and felt awful. I bet next time he gets it...lol.
Your weekend sounds like fun. I would love to do that one year. We are going to the Renaissance Festival this weekend. My cousin got us free tickets. We usually go every other year. We did go last year so this will be Alyssa's second time to dress like a fairy. I will be taking lots of pics.
Have fun this weekend!!!

Rebecca Atchison (Welch)

I get my flu shot every year and usually I have no problems, but this year those shots just seem to be viscious. My arm was swollen for a week and had a big red welp. Mike's was worse the redness consumed his whole upper arm. But ya, still better than the flu:)
Glad to hear Kevin is doing better:)
Hope everyone has fun this weekend. We are thinking of driving to College Station on Friday. Our little po-dunk high school football team took district in 3A this year and we are now in the play offs. My kids went to all the home games this year so they are really pupmed! Go Indians!!!

Hello everyone. hope all is well . finally got some time to get on here. Been busy fighting with my insurance company, keeping up with all Mark's VA appointments and finally getting our yard back to normal,. Three weeks ago my truck blew up so we had to get a new. I can't complain ours had 375,000 miles on it. I'm ready for a vacation. Y'all take care , hope to check back in soon.

Well I am recoving from the Allergy Attack From Hell! Good thing I had an appt to see my allergist today. He sent me home with three bottles of Nasonex to try out. I swear one of these days I'm going to build myself a plastic dust free bubble, that's where I'm going to spend the rest of my days! Maybe then I will finally quit having all these dang allergy attacks.

On another note, the school had their Fall Sports Awards Ceremony, last night. Lauryn was given the "Most Improved" award from her coach. Prior to giving her the award the coach said that she chose this person for...."her fistiness, her confidence, her desire to push herself, the way she's grown on the court as a player, and off the court as a person, since she first met her when she was in 8th grade". It was so sweet. I had actually forgotten about the ceremony, until I got an email from the coach yesterday asking me if we were going and how Lauryn "really should go"....LOL. When Lauryn got the award, I was like "so that's why she emailed me saying Lauryn really should be here tonight".....LOL

Rebecca Atchison (Welch)

Jenny- Go Sharpstown...WOOT WOOT!!! I hope you guys win your game too!!!!! So does that mean learn one more routine or just one more performance:)

Hey V- Loved the email by the way...and hey on that you living in a bubble thing...promise:) Just kidding, I know how bad your allergies are so I really do hope you feel better!!!!!

Cheryl- glad to see you online again...how are them grandbabies doing??? Enjoyed seeing the Halloween pics. Carter is precious! We are still waiting on the insurance company to get the repairs on our home done as well. Sure does SUCK!!!

11/20/08 08:16 AM #1677

Cheryl Mooney (Fowler)

The grandbabies are doing great. Carter is growing way to fast. My stepson's wife is supposed to deliver next week. That will make two grandsons and two granddaughters.

I'm glad the fight with the insurance company is over now we can start repairs. They were trying to get away with allowing us $175 to get our house releveled. The lowest estimate I got was $1200.

We actually learned a whole other dance. As long as we are in playoffs. We will have that many more dance sand preformances. Puts a lot of extra work on my. I also can't start competition dances until they lose.

11/20/08 07:35 PM #1679

Rebecca Atchison (Welch)

Wow Jenny sounds like you are gonna be super busy:)

I feel ya Cheryl. Do you guys have a manufactured home? Cause we get ours leveled or checked to be leveled every year to year and a half and we have never payed more than $350. So many companies are just trying to get rich quick and profit over people's losses so be careful:) I am gonna call the same guy that does mine to come out and do it this time so hopefully we will still get a good price. Either way your insurance should pay what you need. I am still waiting on ours. I called today and they said still waiting on approval and to call back in one week. I was so pissed I told the lady this is ridiculous but ofcourse they don't care. Mys sister said I should call back to tomorrow and speak with a supervisor or something that it shouldn't be taking this long. Plus once we get the check we still have to send it to outr mortgage company to be signed as well. It's such a process. GRRRR!!!!! Well good luck to you guys!

11/20/08 10:17 PM #1680

Cheryl Mooney (Fowler)

Yep we have a manufactured home. We got our check today, now I'll have to send it to the mortgage company for them to endorse it. My SIL has same morgtage company took them 3 weeks to sign the check. She had to keep calling them. It's ridiculous how long this is taking.

11/20/08 11:24 PM #1681

Rebecca Atchison (Welch)

Oh Cheryl...who is your ins with???ours is with National Lloyds cause we had Allstate for 5 years and then they stopped covering manufactured homes so when our policy ended we had our car ins agent get us homeowners which the policy we have is excellent they just suck at getting stufftaken care of. Most all of my neighbors have Foremost and they were cut checks onsite for as much as 6 grand to get the repairs on their homes started. I am thinking come next year I will be changing companies:). I hope it won't take to long for the mortgage company to respond once we send them the check. The thought of even putting up decorations for the holidays is deressing and usually I go all out. But I am really dreading it esp with all the woork that will hopefully one day be taking place. Well wish me luck:)
