Freddie-since I know you are lurking......speak, freak! I talked to your momma today! I love your mom. She of course asked about my mom and dad. We also talked about those babies of yours, and your neices and nephews. It was really nice talking to her.

Twas the month after Christmas, and all through the house
Nothing would fit me, not even a blouse.

The cookies I'd nibbled, the eggnog I'd taste
At the holiday parties, had gone to my waist.

When I got on the scales there arose such a number!
When I walked to the store (less a walk than a lumber).

I'd remember the marvelous meals I'd prepared;
The gravies and sauces and beef nicely rared,

The wine and the rum balls, the bread and the cheese
And the way I'd never said, "No thank you, please."

As I dressed myself in my husband's old shirt
And prepared once again to do battle with dirt...

I said to myself, as I only can
"You can't spend a winter disguised as a man!"

So, away with the last of the sour cream dip,
Get rid of the fruit cake, every cracker and chip

Every last bit of food that I like must be banished
"Till all the additional ounces have vanished."

I won't have a cookie not even a lick.
I'll want only to chew on a long celery stick.

I won't have hot biscuits, or corn bread, or pie,
I'll munch on a carrot and quietly cry.

I'm hungry, I'm lonesome, and life is a bore!
But isn't that what January is for?

Unable to giggle, no longer a riot.
Happy New Year to all and to all a good diet! ... :)

OMG Andrea. Where did you find that? That is too much. I am crying with laughter and my cheeks are hurting. I laughed so hard my stomach actually cramped up. As you can tell. Women aren't the only ones that get out of shape. I get out of the bed in the mornings and my feet get pissed off at me. They're like "Dude, we weren't meant to haul all this around". They actually hurt for about the first 15-20 minutes until they can stop cracking, popping and finally adjust into place. It's a sad time when the highlight of your day consists of looking forward to taking a good shit, just so you can get rid of that bloated feeling. Well, thanks for the good laugh, and all of yall have a Happy New Year.

My resolution this year...same as last....just try to be nice to people. You guys have no idea how hard this can sometimes be for me.... Oh and get out of this house more often, but Deana is doing a great job on that one! I am learning to be social in public again and taking a break from my mommy duties:)

Peace to you all!

I always get sad at this time thinking back at what all happened throughout the year and what all we're leaving behind. This was a pretty tough one for a lot of us. Most greatful that my family is still here. Praying for great happy times to come. Everyone be safe out tonight!

Good Afternoon fellow Alumni!

I just got a call from Jason Barnes. It appears that a fellow alumni Jacob Garza is suffering from Kidney failure and they do not know if he is going to pull thru. Please everyone remember Jacob in your prayers!

In case you don't know this part......Jacob Garza aka Samuel Garza is the same person. He went by Jacob as well. Either way, it's the Cheerleader Sam Garza
