They are contributing his kidney failure to his diabetes. He is in a hospital in Clearwater Florida on dialysis until Wednesday. From there they will send him home where he will continue on home dialysis for an additional 2-4 weeks. At that time they will determine what next steps they will take. At this time he is on the list for a kidney transplant. I will let you know when I get any further information.

First of all Deana, you all are in my prayers that the burden of your hearts are lifted.
As far as Jacob is concerned. He is on home dyalisis and doing as well as can be expected. He is on a strict diet and will find out in about 6-8 weeks about his place on the transplant list. He also has a family member (no one we would know I'm told) who has offered to donate a kidney to him. They are working right now to start up a relief fund for Jacob and his family. He will be out of work for a minimum of 6 months after the transplant. So no that does not count the amount of time he has already been out of work and the time up until he actually gets the transplant. As soon as I get any more info I will let you all know.
Good, I am glad they are setting up a fund, I was actually looking into that, so I will wait for more info from you about it and I will post it everywhere when you have it. We will also create a donation box for him at our parties and will send that. Thanks V
Deana-Jason said it was you who he was talking to about the fund.......LOL. When I talked to Jason the other night he said he was just trying to figure out which bank to go with, so they can access the money in Florida.
