Katherine Jones Machacek

After graduation I spent two yrs at a jr. college...Then took a year off to figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up!!...I spent a year in beauty school and went to work doing hair in Porter,tx...After two years I married the best man in the world and moved to Alvin, Tx...I've worked in Alvin for the last 12 yrs...We now live in Freeport, Tx..but have owned a small salon in Alvin for 9 years...We have one child, Anthony and he will be my only baby...My life is full and all that I could hope for and more than I ever dreamed it could be...it's not perfect...but it's mine and I love it...I thank God everyday for my family......

I think alot about the things we did in school...I listen to teenage kids that come in the shop talk about school and I wonder how it got so hard....I don't remeber anyone getting arrested for a fistfight...or bringing guns on to school property...ours was just drugs and alchol...I feel sorry for them...it's not what it use to be...but i guess each generation feels the same way...I try to tell them not to take the social stuff in school too serious...in 4 years none of it will matter...High School is not the real world...but they don't listen...I guess that when your there it seems like your whole WORLD...I worry about what it will be like in 9yrs when my son goes to High School.......
