Raymond Gerson

In the last few years I came out of retirement to teach college readiness/success and career development courses part-time for Austin Community College. I also train high school teachers how to teach these ideas to their students. I have written a few books on these subjects as well.

I completed 14 years with ACC in December 2019. I bought Upbeat Press, LLC from my publisher to get the rights back to several of my books.


I remarried when I was 64. So a lot of exciting things have been happening late in life.

I did not get serious about school until my last year of high school. For many years I was not a good student, so the irony is that I taught kids how to succeed in school. Some of my former teachers would probably get a laugh out of that.
