Paige took this picture of my girsl Izzydorable and Dixie Belle and me Saturday Jan 9, 2021.  Hard to believe you get such good quality from a telephone.  Can you believe that whichever dirtbag that owned these  two beautiful creatures just abandoned them???  Dixie Belle was left att a gas station in College Statiion till my grandson rescueed her and Diane pick her up from him.  And Izzydorable, the beable was left doen in the creek, her owners just moved away and left her.   Shame of people like t hat, but good for the pups and us.

What an awesome picture of you and the dogs - it looks very professional. Paige did a good job capturing the beauty of the subjects and the surroundings. Guess I shouldn't be surprised that your dogs would be so cooperative. Just a fantastic picture. Thanks for sharing.

Thank yuou Sandi.  I just love my critters.  Speaking of which, Goot a dog on each side of me, one at my feet and my kitty,   Little Miss in my lap.  Thousgh of youse that watched BICENTENIAL MAN, know that's where I got the name from.   I picked t hat one out because that characthor was sweet and gentle and kind...which desdribeds my kittly to a T.   As long as I an sitting down or laying down, she is in my arms,  no  greater love...

Be leaving for CS and the neurosergeons office in a few minutes so he can look my head over and prossibley remove the staples. Dont to remove them prematurely. Been told horror stories by this preson sand that person and the pain.  Why do folks want to do that?  Just the fact that I have in my head, and t hey have to be removed is painful enough without having to relived EVERYONE esles pain.

Well, it is what it is, so whevter happens will happen...turst in the lord, so I shall, so I shall.

Had 26 syersterday morn, and didnt get out in the sun quick enoght, had vehicles  to start, and those that wouldnt start, had to put the batt charger on, finally started all but one, my motorcycle, left it on maintainance mode.  Got to take the seats off and back rack to get to the battery.  I will start it today.   Need to sell it soonest so someone can be riding it and enjoying it the way I did.   What a ride ! ! !

We also had sleet and hail yesterday aroung 2 pm for about 30 minutes or so.  Puzzeling weather eh what?   One of my very best friends in whirl came by yesterday for a visit, Jimmy Hilsher.   Just brightend my day, more that the sun.   What a good good man and friend he is.

Diane had lunch with her sister from Russia yesterday. Well, she didnt go to Russia, just to Cypress, then they did girlie shopping and stff.  My beloved needed that for sure.

Oh my driver is calling for me to get in the car, so I will be bak.   Sorry about al l the messespsselled words, my bain and fingers just seem to want to cooperate.

Keep the glorious sun shing on you and the glorious Son shining on you and "ride boldly ride..."

Beau:

One of the fondest memories I have of our reunions was being able to visit with you. Living in Nebraska I have not always been able to make all the reunions and as I recall it was about our 40th, we had I nice long visit. Please know that you and your family are in my prayers. One of my favorite scriptures is Psalm 103:2-4 "Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies".
God Bless You.

Cephus, I know it's hard to think about selling your Harley, but that is our season of life. It was very hard for me to sell the ranch and all of the toys and memories we had accumulated over 24 years, but now 2 years later I'm glad I don't have all of that stuff and commitment to maintain it. I was thinking today about the MC ride you made to DC to honor our veterans a few years ago and about all of your memories of that trip. I'm sure you're glad you did it but also glad you don't have to do it today.,

Beau Wann, Jr.

Charles, I do remember our chat from the 45th I think.  I also remember you from School.   Fine  young man, now a fine distinguished gentleman. The words of encouragement are well received.   May your journey through life be a wonderful as can be.  Been reading the spots off of PSALMS.

TJ,  leting go of things is sometimes hard to do, but it's just another chapter on the book of life.  Riding my MC was theraputic, and an adventure that I've long since known was at an end, a few years back.   I've ok with it. I'll always have great memories of it, especially the trip to DC for ROLLING THUNDER.  And to think, I almost didnt go.  Now t hat would have been a tragedgy.

Got to reconnet with another era in time on that trip,   Vietnam, not necessarily a good time or memory, but made lots of friends, some made it back, some didnt.  Yet another chapter in the book of like, now closed.  Time to move on to more important things, GOD, and all my wonderful friends from such a wonderful  and importantt time in our lives.

How many good chapters is one person allowed to be blessed???  I've been so blessed, I feel guilty!     We lived through a time when Coca cola cost a nickel, and a candy bar cost a nickel, rather go to the five and dime than anywhere else, whether you had the money to buy anything or not,   we would rather have played with our friends in t he dirt than text over some stupid phone,  I still feel that way.  Rather be out digging post holes for a new section of fence, or digging up the soil for a new garden or up on the tractor , mowingm or doing road work.   I've been blessed beyong all belief.

Have a really good day yesterday. Got my staples out of mah punkiin haid.  Never felt a thing.  I did sting a just a tad when the PA cleaned the wound with an alkyhol wipe, but I didnt flinch.  "What, you finshed?  Did you do anything"?.   Having a pointment north works great beacue i get the sun on my face going up, and sun on my face coming back home.  What more could one ask for?

Speaking of whicch, lay out in the glorious sun for several hours when we got home fomr CS.   But, not before we had a CHEESEBURGER ALL THE WAY AND FRYS AND ONION RINGS...havent had frys in 2 years.  They were wonderful.  So all in all, a very good day, another blessed day for sure.

HEY LYNN AND PAT....! ! !   Fed ex delivered the surprise you sent, and it wass glorousse, THANK YOU.   The driver couldnt understand how a person could be so excited over a package from THE COLIN STREET BAKERY.  I decided to have a slice of it and guess whst, it was delicious.  I hadnt had fruitcake sine I was a wee lad of 8 r 9.  I know lots of yall sent me FC back in the early naughts after I had written a story about receiving fruitcakes with I w as about 8 or 9 for Christmas.  I mean, who gives fuitcat to a litt le boy???  My family! ! !

Would you belive fruitcake comes with instructions?    Yup!    It said I could doctor it up with rum or bourbon or whatever was my pleasure.   I added sum Rebecca Creek whishkey to it.   Ought to be just right in about 2 week, according to the instructions.

A man could not ask for better friends than the friends that I have.

Been thinking about a lot of projects I need to get going on.  I want to build a greenshouse for Diane, a well house, and put in a whole house generator with a shed around it. Oh, and another deck or two.  But I'm going to start on the greenshouse for my beloved.   Love to find some old windows for it, but new ones will suffice.  Put in a probane heater, and some counter tops all way round and some shelfves under those, guess I' better get going on that havent I.

Today, as soon as it heats up to at leat 50, I'm going to lay in the glorious sun.  My eldest brought some teak chaise lounge chairs from their gargen for me to lay on in my garden.

Time to deplane to another plain plane, so I will say happy tarails for now..

wouldnt want to make this too long, eh lwhat?   Too late now!

keep the sun on you while the Son is in your and "ride boldly ride..."

Beau: I have memories of going to the movies on Saturday mornings to watch Buck Rogers and a movie that cost 25 cents for the movie a coke and popcorn. I remember my dad making fruit cakes, soaked in brandy, in one pound coffee cans. I remember having ducks and dressing for Thanksgiving and Christmas because my dad was a duck hunter. I remember my train trip to San Diego for Navy boot camp and my service on an aircraft carrier and liberty in Sasebo, Yokosuka, Singapore, Subic Bay and many other ports. Our visit still seems to overshadow those. I am glad that I had the opportunity to spend that time with you. Be sure to read Psalm 91 and 124 and know that they are spoken directly to you. May God make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; The Lord lift you up and give you grace. You are still in my prayers.

Blessings,

Ok, I ll sing off for now,,  It's taken a and hour or so to get this far typing.   If I  cant get bank on here in a reasonale leanth of t ime,  My Beloved will post progress or lact there of.

Hey beau,  I've been facing the work that acreage has, just got my grandson to live with me to help with the farm.  He's not acquainted with the hard work of a farm but trying. and I am faced with back surgery, unavoidable, tried to keep up with his children, two lovely gitls 4 and 10,  and couldn't, broke my heart, what I used to be. But they loved working so I might have a crew.

Glad you got the staples out, please let us know how things go.  And Susan Howard, what a sweetheart, will pray for all.

Praying for Sam and Susan.  Such a nasty thing this virus is.

beau, they weren't doing a Covid test.  They were looking for a brain.  When you find yours you can come help me find mine.  I really thought I had it today.  M D Anderson is a fantastic hospital.  We are scheduled to receive our shots on February 1st.  Hope it really happens.  We still have to wear masks and social distance, etc.  It will make our daughter dial it back a notch.  That's a good thing.

Praying for our country.

For all of you with grandchildren I am sharing what happened in my family.

My son's cousin in Arizona had two children. Elizabeth was 12. She died from the virus in December. She lived in Payson Arizona. They did not wear masks. Her symptoms were a rash and shortness of breath. She was rushed to Phoenix. Her lungs filled up with fuid and she died in front of her Father. Elizabeth had a heart attack from the pressure on her heart. The family is heart broken. Yes, there was an autopsy. It was confirmed. No one else in the family had the virus or symptoms. Pass on to your kids to watch for a rash and immediately contact the doctor.

This is Diane for Beau,

He has his first appointment at MD Anderson on Monday.  I am praying for the doctors and staff as they look at his case.  It is very frustrating for Beau not being able to type, spell or speak clearly.  But he keeps a pretty good attitude about it!  Looking the sunshine in everything!

Beverly Hengst (Allen)

I am saddened to tell you that Covid has taken another precious life.  As you know, Susan Howard Bowman and her beloved husband Sam have been in the hospital fighting Covid.  Sam Bowman lost his battle this morning at 1:24 am.  Susan is still in the hospital on oxygen.  Please keep Susan in your prayers for God's comfort and healing.

Many of our class had met Sam and knew what a fine person he was.  He and Susan were a perfect team and she will need our support for her recovery of losing Sam, as well as healing from Covid.

Beverly, as sad as that news is to hear, thank you for letting us know. Susan we really enjoyed Sam and was so interesting to see how we had banked with His bank in the 70's . When I did get to meet him it was just like I had known him all of my life. Fran and I so enjoyed being able to catch up with you two for lunch when we discovered we were both going to be in Las Vegas in for the George Strait show in December 2017.

Susan, now we will turn the volume up on our prayers for your healing!

I am devastated for Susan about Sam. His smile will be missed at our reunions. Their happiness was contagious and I'm so very sorry for her loss.  Hopefully, Susan will be able to beat this horrible virus.

Beau typed the first line. He is dictating to me (Diane).  Giving new meaning to the word gibberish!

We are very sad about Sam Bowman who was a great guy, more than a great guy.  We are praying for Susan.

We have had a busy few days.  He has had a consult with Dr. John De Groot, blood work, a new prescription and tonight a MRI, tomorrow consult with a nuerosurgeon and Dr. De Groot to discuss if surgery is possible.  Thursday we meet with a radiology oncologist.  So Thursday we will have a plan of action in place to beat this brain cancer.  Keep the prayers coming.  Beau is upbeat that this will be beat! and we will have a party on the Hill!!

Please take care of yourselves!  We pray for all needing healing in this crazy world. as Beau would say KEEP THE SUN AT YOUR SIX AND THE SON IN YOUR HEART. RIDE BOLDLY RIDE, YOUR FRIEN AND RESIDENT MD ANDERSON SON, CEPHUS R HOLDING HIS OWN!

Diane,

Thank you for your post in keeping us up to date on Beau. It sounds like he and his doctors have an upcoming plan and we all continue to pray for him that this is the right direction for him to eradicate this terrible disease. You both are in our minds, our hearts and our prayers. Give the big guy a big hug and tell him he has many supporters on this journey.
