Melanie Aguillard died in 2002, as I remember. It was at least 8 months after 9-11. I talked to her on the phone a few weeks before she died. Her older sister was looking after her at the time and brought the phone over to her bed where we could talk. She had visited me and my wife here in France either in the spring (May) of 2001 or in the spring of 2000. She was accompanied by a friend of hers, Jackie. I took them out to the Château Vaux-le-Vicomte, near Melun.
