Happy Birthday Ellen Pyel, may you continue to live a long and happy life;
Yes, Roy, I remember the evening Mr Burns cut off his thumb. Some of us from the Royal Ensemble - Drama club were rehearsing André Obey's Noah with Ruby Hall - who took over Drama department after Richard Johnson left- in the auditorium. There was a loud knock on one of the doors and Mr Burns came in and shouted out that he had had an accident in the wood shop. Bobby Egalnick and another fellow immediately went into action to tie up his thumb and we, I think I went with them, took off for the Bellaire Hospital. We took him to Emergency and at one point an intern comes out with the cloth opened saying "There's nothing here!" We ran out into the parking lot and found his sectioned thumb and brought it back to the intern. Don't remember if it was able to be sewn on successfully or not.
Anyway, Happy Birthday and live a long healthy life. - Cheers, Paul-Harvey Du Bois

Best wishes on your birthday, Comrade! I say "comrade" because here in France May 1st is the Workers Holiday. Supposedly the May 1st holiday for all workers originated in the States. Anyway, best wishes to you and your family. - Paul-Harvey DuBois
Wishing you and your family all the best, Steve. And don't work too hard. And....try to retire but I'm aware of the difficulties in that choice especially these days. In fact, I've been retired for almost 4 1/2 years but may have to go back to work as a sort of substitute teacher. Despite the exchange rate between the two currencies, you get more for your dollar in Texas than you do for a euro in France at present. So long for now,

Happy (belated) birthday, Sue Gibson Wright!
I wish you all the blessings of Heaven for your work with those who are disadvantaged in this world. And hopefully you will continue in these endeavors. I had tried to send you something a little bit fancier for your birthday, like an ecard that you would receive on your birthday, but being that I am technologically challenged in these matters, time ran out. So best wishes on your birthday anyway. - Kindest regards, Paul-Harvey Du Bois
