I am in the cattle business.I broker yearling cattle to the feed lots.And also lease cattle to cutting contests.Also still compete in teamroping events all over southwest United States

After getting out of high school i attended South Texas for 2 years then went into the army .Got sent to Viet Nam where i was in a medical helicopter evacuation crew.Got shot down once and shot at quiet a few times.When i got back i got interested in rodeoing as a calf roper which i did for 13 or 14 years till i got to old and sore.A cow trader took me under his wing and taught me the business.In 1984 i purchased the El paso Livestock Auction which i ran untill 1995.At that time i started exporting slaughter cattle to Mexico which i did untill the mad cow scare.After the scare i reverted to my rodeoing skills and started team roping which i took up in the late 80,s as i was to old to run off a horse while running wide open.While team roping i started turning cattle out and selling to feed lots that i had met thru my life and after moving back to Grandview in 95 also started leasing cattle to the National Cutting Horse Assn. which i still do.My feed lot business has really gotten big due to my contacts all over the U.S. I still team rope as much as i can.I have had a tripple by pass in 2005 and just had a lite stroke 3 weeks ago 4/25 but all is well now.

To many to put down. I have great memories of my friends Skip Collins ,Billy Friesen, Ken Palmer, Jeff Lee, Don Cunningham.Of all the crazy stuff we pulled and got away with.Also the first loves of my life Edith Stagg , Sharon Graves . All great memories
