Attended Texas State graduated in 1979 with a BA in Psychology...and 50 cents might buy you a cup of coffee! Relocated to Chicagoland where my family had moved in ‘77 and started working for Walgreens in 1980 and continued with them for 36 years in all different capacities and just retired a year ago October 2016. My wife and I along with our dogs got tired of Midwestern Winters, poorly run state government with high taxes and moved November 2016 to North Carolina just outside of Wilmington. I miss Texas, but I couldn’t see myself in the hustle and bustle of Houston, and as much as I loved Austin and the Hill Country, it ain’t what it used to be and not a place to retire. We love it in the Carolinas and try to visit Texas when I can.

Other than the comradery of my friends on Queensbury, high school in the 70’s was not a great place with so much emphasis on conformity (remember all the guys having to wear wigs to school), rather than on education. I’m glad I survived it and it wasn’t all bad as I am still in contact with good friends from the hallowed halls of WHS!
