Susie Brown Powell

I moved to Kansas City, MO in '79 (closer to Wade). Lived there until '83. He graduated with an engineering degree and was hired by General Motors. We moved to the Motor City and have lived here ever since. He is still with General Motors. After the kids started school, I started working at a dental office part time. Our lives changed in 1994 when our daughter, Jennifer was diagnosed with a rare genetic disease called ataxia telangiectasia (AT for short). She is 23 now and still able to volunteer and attend college. Jarryd is a junior, majoring in finance, at Oakland University. He is a great kid. Wade and I have been married for 26 years. We both love to travel, exercise and run. He does marathons, I do halfs or 5ks.
