Jill Bumby (Limberg)

I'm so sorry to hear of John's passing.  My Mother died on December 16th, 2024 of CJD - it is a very rare neurological disorder and people who get it go very quickly.  We found out my Mom had it and 3 weeks later she was gone.  Sending prayers of condolence to the family and prayers for healing for John's wife who is also dealing with health issues.

Wow, I've known John since elementary school.

Bruce and I were both in John's home room class together at Bunker Hill.  We've lost Suzy Thomas and Dennis Black as well.

After reading up about this disease, I hope he did not suffer too much and I hope that Jill Bumby's mother did not suffer either.  What a cruel and horrible disease.

My prayers and sympathies are with John's family and friend's as well as for Jill.  Rest in Peace.

John Wilson

He was one of my best friends during my Junior and Senior year, even had sleep overs.  He (plus John Hand/Bud Bush) taught me to drink beer.  Taught me to be more of an extrovert.  And he was a key part as we raced 30+ foot sailboats to victory on Galveston Bay, many time, during high school and college.

He had a hell of energy, enthusiasm for life, and a desire to compete to be the best at everything.

I has so much fun hanging out with John.

Love and peace to the family, and Matt, and Shirley.

John and his mom Shirley were some of the first people my Mom and I met when we moved to Houston. They were amazing. John helped me get a job with him at the courtyard restaurant off I-10. I'll never forget those Thursday margarita nights.

After Memorial, only saw John a couple of times. A great guy and great friend.

Rest in peace my friend!
