Having returned from Oxnard, Hueneme High - where I was the AFS exchange student - to Germany I had to finish my last school year to start studies in physical therapy.
My first job invited me to Switzerland where I got married and where I settled on the "Gold Coast" of Lake Geneva. I loved working for 5 years in my profession, but had to quit beacuse of a new Swiss law, not allowing my foreign diploma.
Administration in various international banks and multi-nationals is also very interesting, because I get a closer look into different fields of work. I use my languages and deal with people from all over the world.
The last 5 years I assisted our 2 lawyers in the Legal dept of a multi-national. I learn more and more of right and wrong and I love it.
My spare time is taken up either with gardening or swimming, hiking and biking or skiing in the winter.
Foreign countries are always on my hit list for traveling during vacation. Therefore, Australia, some Asian countries and the facsination of the Southern part of Africa attracked me so far.
Maybe I take a long leave next year to visit South America by back-packin ?
Retired since 2011 I still pack my back-pack and go.
