Joy Faye Tucker, age 70, went home to be in the arms of the Lord on July 2, 2013.

Joy was born April 17, 1943, in Hugo, Oklahoma, where she lived until she graduated from Hugo High School. Joy received her R.N. license from Bacone College in Muskogee, Oklahoma, and started her nursing career at Muskogee General Hospital. She later transferred to Herman Hospital in Houston, Texas, where she devoted her life to the care of others.

Joy met Robert D. (Bob) Tucker, the love of her life, and was married in 1981. They enjoyed 31 years of marriage until his passing in October 2012.

Joy is preceded in death by her husband: Robert D. (Bob) Tucker; parents: Wilbur & Maud Brazzeal; 1 brother; and 3 sisters.

She is survived by one sister: Violet Hale of Antlers. Joy had no children but she loved her many nieces and nephews and any children which were in her presence.

While her family and friends will miss her greatly, they are comforted by the knowledge she is at home with her Lord and Savior, where they will one day be reunited.
