OBITUARY from the Examiner (10/23/2020)
Henry Noble Fry was born October 20, 1942, to Willis and Frances (John) Fry, and he died July 23, 2020. He had spent the final two years of his life in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Previously he had retired from McDonald Douglas/Boeing to a residence in Tulsa.
A world traveler, Henry covered the globe in his work as an aerospace engineer. He attained his bachelor's degree in engineering from Oklahoma State University and followed that with a master's from Missouri University. He spent his life deep in his work and enjoyed reading as a major past time, reading true crime, pulp fiction and biographies--his favorite being the life of Winston Churchill.
Henry was a bit of an eccentric and will be remembered for his love of cigars, watches and pocketknives.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Robert Martin and William Patrick, and is survived by his sister, Edrie Ruth Fry Chiles; six nephews and nieces; and a large number of grand-nephews and grand-nieces.
An informal graveside memorial service was held at 11:00am on Saturday, October 17, 2020, in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
