I am excited about life. I am officially retired with the best husband I could ever have dreamed of. We have moved into Bob's grandma's old home place and are having fun, so to speak, remodeling it to a point. We plan to have it very old style country. Poteau is a great little town, home of the tallest hill in USA, Mount Cavenau. My new church and family have welcomed my warmly. Here's the funny. I've changed from a Methodist Church to a Pentecostal Church. Everybody is asking how I am taking it.....It is great. I love this life that our Good Lord has given to me. I am blessed. We just got back a few weeks ago from a trip out to see Robert, my son (Bob wanted to spend time with his new son). We made a great vacation out of it. We visited the Grand Teton Natl. Park, Yellowstone Natl. Park, Mount Ranier, Seattle and all of its finest sites, After leaving Washington State, we traveled down Hwy. 5 and put our toes in the Pacific Ocean, Spent the night at Yosemite Natl. Park, Went into Sequoia Natl. Park and was awed by the big Redwood trees, spending the night in the lodge (active bear country). We then went on south to Yelm, CA to Calico Ghost Town and had fun there. Moving on East to Las Vegas spending the night with a friend and seeing the sights. The next day we visited the Hoover Dam and the Painted Desert. We loved the town of Livingston, Ariz on Route 66. We enjoyed the Grand Canyon too. Then we headed home. It was about 3 weeks and 6000 miles. We had a great time but we were also ready to be home. We've also attended a couple of weekend Bluegrass festivals where Bob jammed with the other musicians. In December, he's taking me to Branson. I've never gotten to see it all lit up for Christmas. Sooo, it's kind of a slow go on getting this house remodeled. Bob and his dad have been working on getting the roof re-shingled. Today's cold blast isn't helping. Anyway, that is my book for now. It might be another year before I get back on here and update. Hope all is well with my OLD classmates. I was sad to hear about the ones that have gone on but glad this site is still active. God bless you all.
