Joan was a friend of mine. Always kind & sweet.

About a year after high school I called Joan, her mother answered and started to cry as I was asking to speak with Joan. She proceeded to inform me of the tragic suicide her daughter committed shortly after high school.

Joan truly appeared to be full of life with not a care in the world. She was kind and loving to all !

I miss her !

I am so sorry to hear of Joan's passing; I remember her as well--sweet and kind, and always the nice hair do.

Marie Or Maria Love (Edwards)

Hi, I am Maria Love, Joan's little sister.

I was with her the night before she committed suicide, infact I was sleeping in the same room and I told her I had a dream that our other sister, Terri died.  Joan started to cry, other that there was no indication of what she was going to do the next day.  She drove her orange Hornet to the beach cliffs and shot a gun into the sand.  She then drove almost home but parked behind the little green liquor store and wrote letters to all of us family members.  She then took a borrowed gun from her boyfriend Tim and shot herself in the temple, ending her life instantly.

Joan was full of life, she was selfless, kind, funny.  She took care of people and loved Jesus.  Her death is still not understood.  I'd like to say to anyone who is considering suicide, please seek help first and consider the resounding consequences of suicide that hurt so many others, forever.

Thank you for your kind words of Joan.
