William Geaney Obituary

February 24, 1961 - April 2, 2023

Bill grew up in Huntington Beach, CA and was a 1979 graduate of Huntington Beach High School. While in high school he was an avid CB radio enthusiast attending many CB events in the local area. His love of radios continued after high school when he obtained a ham radio license while working at a local radio station, KWIZ, where he enjoyed his technical duties as well as midnight on-air disc jockeying. This then lead to a career as a communications technician for the Orange County Sheriff's Department from which he retired.

Bill is survived by his sister Donna Phillips of Prescott, AZ, nephew John Tinyes of Redlands, CA, 2 great-nieces and a great-nephew as well as many loving friends. Internment is on May 15 at Good Shepard Cemetary in Huntington Beach with a reception to follow at Mambas on Beach Blvd.
