Comments:
After high school I went to Auburn University for two years then transferred to the University of Utah where I graduated in 1992. I then came back to the south where I did my PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Tennessee. After receiving my PhD in 2000 I did an extensive fellowship at the Swiss Cancer Institute- University of Geneva in Geneva, Switzerland. I traveled a good bit during this time and had two children with my husband John Cobb. We are missing Europe alot. Currently we are both on Faculty at the University of Calgary, Canada. John is a Developmental Biologist and I am a Geneticist/ Molecular Biologist at the Southern Alberta Cancer Research Institute- You can imagine our dinner conversations! Luckily we have wonderful kids that keep us focused on the important things of life. We enjoy living in Canada, particularly the Canadian Rockies-- although I am not a big fan of Grizzly Bears!
