I went to the University of Alabama where I received my education degree in 1993. I worked in the school systems for about 6 years until I married Bart in 1999. Then our girls came, and I decided to focus my time on them. We spend a lot of time with a close group of friends, many of whom graduated from HHS in other years. I still keep in touch with Lee Ann Smith(Smelser) and Victoria Osborne(Butler)('89). They have remained two of my dearest friends. I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in the spring of 2007. It has been a long, difficult process but I now receive treatment every two months along with other medication. It has been a lifestyle change, but we are very thankful that I was diagnosed early and able to begin treatment.
