I graduated from the University of Alabama in 1993 with a B.S. in business and a commission in the U.S. Army.
My first assignment was to Fort Hood, TX, where I spent 4 ½ years and met & married my wonderful wife, Michelle.
In 1998, we moved to Columbia, SC, where I spent two years at Fort Jackson. Our next move took us to Portland, OR. While in Oregon, we were blessed with our first child, Allison.
In 2002, we moved to Heidelberg, Germany, and had a great time traveling across Europe for the next three years. While in Germany, I also had the opportunity to deploy on two occasions to the Middle East, serving in both Kuwait and Iraq. In December 2003, I was lucky to catch a late night flight out of Baghdad which allowed me to get back home to Germany just in time for the birth of my second daughter, Megan.
My next assignment took me for a brief stop at Fort Leavenworth, KS (near Kansas City), for a year-long Army training course. In 2006, we moved to Augusta, GA, where I served at Fort Gordon. We loved the area and I enjoyed attending the Masters golf tournament every year.
We recently completed our last move in June 2009, and now live Lebanon, TN. I work in Nashville, TN as the Commander of the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS).
