I remember learning about this tragic accident after his family moved from Huntsville to California, and being shocked at his untimely death. The following article is taken from the Berkshire Eagle, Pittsfield, MA newspaper, December 30, 1975: Jeffery M. Gaetani, 19, of San Jose, Calif., the son of former Pittsfield residents Robert and Jeanne Mahoney Gaetani, was killed in a one-car automobile accident Dec. 21 near Tucson, Ariz. The accident, which occurred as Mr. Gaetani drove to a new assignment with the U.S. Air Force, also killed his wife, the former Linda Case, 18, of San Jose, and their 4-month-old son, Robert J. Gaetani. Mr. Gaetani who was born here, is survived by his parents, who moved to San Jose two years ago; a brother, Gerry Gaetani, living at home; and three sisters, Jill, Gina and Judy Gaetani, also living at home. Funeral services for the three were held Friday in San Jose. Burial was in Los Gatos (Calif.) Memorial Park.
