Steve Gargus

Dr. Stephen Gregory Gargus, DMD, 63, of Huntsville passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of June 18, 2019. Stephen was born on January 11, 1956, in Gadsden Alabama. He attended the University of Alabama and received a bachelor's degree in microbiology, and the University of Alabama in Birmingham where he received his Doctorate degree in Dentistry. Stephen then moved to Florida where practiced Dentistry until he retired and later moved home to Huntsville. Stephen is survived by his mother, Mary Anne Gargus; his dog, Buster; his nieces and nephew, Emma Anne Kimbrough, Alexandra Marino, John Stinson, and Katherine Stinson; great niece, Landers Anne Kimbrough; his brother-in-law, Jay and Susan Stinson; his cousin, Tina Herring; and numerous beloved friends and family. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Ray Gargus; his sister, Beverly Gargus Stinson; his aunts, Brenda Elkins, Marie Langford, and Betty Gargus; and uncle, Johnny Gargus. Stephen wanted everyone wanted to know that he had lived a good life. Donations may be made in the honor of Dr. Stephen Gregory Gargus, DMD at the Alabama Pug Rescue and Adoption, Inc.
