I have a very unique love story. In short, it was love at first sight and we have been together from our first date onward.
We had a lot to overcome though as I was an LDS returned missionary and he was a Hindu from Sri Lanka!! He didn't even know how to date me because he his culture they don't date. They still have arranged marriages. So on our first few dates he didn't touch me or talk about our relationship. We just enjoyed getting to know each other. Then, on the fifth day after we met, he finally had the courage to hold my hand.
After a moment, he said, "So, when shall we marry?"
We were engaged within a week after our first date!
It was a big shock for my family, as well as the Ammon community, but they all fell in love with him just as much as I did--almost.
He did end up joining the church before we got married, but it has been such an adventure trying to integrate two different worlds together!
