After my senior year of high school, I converted to Islam. I read the Holy Koran during my senior year, not thinking I would change my religion, but the more I read, the more I realized Islam was the true religion (to make a long story short).
After I became a Muslim, I met my wonderful and handsome husband, Asif. After we got married, I moved to the Bay Area, and we had our first two children. Asif was an electrical engineer for Sun Microsystems. Then when the economy started to crash, he got a better job in Orange County, so we jumped to the chance! We have lived in the OC for the last 5 years, and we have had three more children since!
I have enjoyed being a Domestic Engineer (housewife and mom). I was president of the MOMS Club of Aliso Viejo. During this time, my family and I were invited a few times to be guest speakers at a local university! We loved every minute of it!
In 2000, my husband, oldest son, and I went to India and Singapore. I had a lot of fun learning about another culture, and living with different people. We hope to go back when I all our kids are fully potty trained!
For now, I am pursuing to be a certified personal fitness trainer. Wish me luck!
