After a few false starts to a career (international student advisor, ESL instructor), I decided to go to law school. I was admitted to a school in Chicago, which I now call my home. I decided to focus on immigration law because of my prior experience with international populations and a desire to help the immigrant community. After five years working for a small immigration firm, I decided to open my own practice. I chose November 2016 to do so - either the shrewdest or the stupidest time in recent history to start an immigration practice, given the outcome of the election. Business shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.
