Ann Benton (Rogers) VIEW PROFILE

Ann Benton Rogers, 56, of Mesa, Arizona, died of complications from leukemia on March 5, 2008. She was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, on August 15, 1951, to Marvel Cooley and David Benton. She graduated from Idaho Falls High School where she was Senior Class Historian, Pep Club Teeger,  and Spanish Club Secretary as well as participating in Ski Club, Honor Society, and the Student Council Rules and Conduct Committee. She graduated with a degree in Business from Brigham Young University where she met her future husband Renny Rogers. Ann and Renny celebrated 36 years of marriage in December.

Ann and Renny moved around the country with the Air Force until settling in Mesa, Arizona, where she lived for the past 29 years. Ann loved to travel. She always loved to sing and play the piano. Ann was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served faithfully in many callings throughout her life. She loved her five children and lavished attention on her seven grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Renny Rogers; children: Tyson, Marci Simons (Russ), Cordell (Jamalee), Ryan (Stacey) and Taylor; grandchildren: Maili, Bryton, Thyse, Canon, Harley, Navy and Mabry; parents, David and Marvel Benton; and six siblings: Dorothy, Susan, David, Barbara, Mary, and Mina.

Gail Farkas (Eckhoff)

I had many classes with Ann.  She was such a joy to be around.
