Joy Ann Jorgensen Fuger, 58, of Idaho Falls, peacefully passed away Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center surrounded by a room full of family. Joy was born Aug. 3, 1951, in Idaho Falls, the youngest daughter of John E. and Helen (Barrett) Jorgensen. She grew up in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1969 and Eastern Idaho Technical College in 1995. At 14 years of age, she met Allen H. Fuger. They were married May 24, 1969, just one week before Joy graduated high school. They were married 41 years. They moved to Nampa, Idaho, for a short time and returned to Idaho Falls where they made their home. They were blessed with two children, a daughter, Sheryl and a son, Travis.

Joy's family was very important to her and she loved being a wife, mother and especially a grandmother. Joy loved camping and "tending the fire," finding and collecting pretty rocks, riding the four-wheeler, collecting music boxes, writing poems and playing pinochle and Yahtzee. She was the precious glue holding our family together as our loving mother, wife and grandmother.

Joy was preceeded in death by her parents; sister, Jenny Mayo; and a great-grandson, Christopher. Joy is survived by her husband of 41 years, Allen; children, Sheryl Donnelly (Jason) of Idaho Falls and Travis Fuger (Taegan) of Boise; grandchildren, Angella Griffel, Jordan Tiblow and Chelsie Tiblow, all of Idaho Falls, and Jeramiah "JT" Fuger of Boise; siblings, John Jorgensen Jr. (Susie), Judy Morgan (Bob) and Jerry Jorgensen (Sherri).
