Janet Magnelli (Heileson) VIEW PROFILE

Janet Magnelli Heileson was born October 6, 1951, and passed away January 18, 2004. Janet was the third of six children born to Francis "Frank" Warren Magnelli and Edna Isabelle Burgener Magnelli.  She attended elementary and high schools in Idaho Falls.  She graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1969 where she served as Senior Class Cheerleader, a member of Pep Club, Art Club Vice President and Secretary-Treasurer, member of Honor Society, member of Latin Club, Junior Prom Committee, '68 Homecoming Dance Committee, Girls State, and Student Council Executive Committee.

Janet worked for a lawyer while in high school, and because she was proficient at shorthand, she accompanied the lawyer to various court proceedings. Later in her life, she was a secretary for the Kaiser CEO in California.

Janet married at the age of 19 to a sailor named Terry Stewart she met in Idaho Falls. They were later divorced.  As a military wife, she relocated several times within the United States. She and her military husband had ten children who are located from Washington to Idaho to Colorado. Following her military marriage, she married Steven Ray Heileson in 1986, who was the father that over half her children knew. Steve and Janet's businesses included antiquing, which required a fair amount of interstate travel and a painting business which was basically located in southeast Idaho. Besides the painting business, Janet enjoyed painting scenery and still life paintings. They were able to enjoy life in the outdoor elements in their A-frame cabin in the Ashton, Idaho area.

Unfortunately, Janet succumbed to cancer at the young age of 52. She is survived by her mother, siblings Judy, Carma, Linda, Joan, and Tony, her husband Steve Heileson, children: Jeremy, Tiffany, Jason, Travis, Jeffery, Treavor, Justin, Tamara, Joshua, and Tory, 25 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
