Activities
John was on the Board of Directors for the Mountain States Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association and was honored for his leadership with much admiration and dedication, serving from 1996 through 1999.
John was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was active as a youth in the Scouting program. On December 1, 1990, he married Becky Styhl Perkins, the love of his life. John's greatest joy was cooking for family and friends. He was a life-long member of the BPOE Elks Club of Idaho Falls. John served that organization well in many capacities. He loved cook-offs and exchanged many recipes with friends; he always remained the winner with much laughter. John loved nature and fishing with his dad, brother, and friends. He enjoyed hunting in the fall with Rod, dad, and many friends.
