Randy Sayer VIEW PROFILE

William Randall Sayer, 59, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 26, 2011, at his home peacefully with his family. Randy was born August 31, 1951, in Idaho Falls, to Gary K. Sayer and Winona Myrle Brunson Sayer. He attended schools in Idaho and California, graduating from Idaho Falls High School where he participated in football and wrestling. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from the University of Idaho. Randy served in Germany as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army.

He married the love of his life, Dixie Baird, on November 20, 1976, in Idaho Falls. They made their home in Idaho Falls, where they raised their three children. Randy worked as a Quality Engineer first at Argonne National Lab for 22 years, then at Premier Technologies. Randy and his wife owned and operated Inland Scuba in Idaho Falls, then a sports fishing business in Craig, Alaska. Randy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, camping, scuba diving, boating, and restoring cars.

Survivors include his wife, Dixie Sayer; daughters, Nikki (Mike) Duffin and Jennifer (Randy) Radford; son, W. Ryan Sayer; eight adorable grandchildren; and mother, Winona (Henry S. "Hank") Crumb (all of Idaho Falls); brothers, Gary L. (Jan) Sayer of Redding, CA, David W. Sayer of Craig, Alaska, and Michael T. (Nikki) Sayer of Idaho Falls. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Sayer; a sister, Suzanne DeArk; and a brother, Allan Sayer.
