Valeries Dawn Ellis Robinett, 31, died November 16, 1982, at her home. She was born August 14, 1951, at Livingston, Montana, to Robert W. and Georgia Elaine Thompson Ellis. She graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1969, where she participated in Latin Club, Art Club, Tri-Hi-Y, and FTA and served on the Art and Latin Club Float Committees. She attended the College of Southern Idaho at Twin Falls, and later went to ISU where she received a B.A. in Journalism and a Master's degree in education and student personnel.

She worked as a counselor at Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado. While there she became ill  and moved to Pocatello to be closer to her family, but she was still unable to regain her health. She married John Robinett in Blackfoot and they were later divorced. She loved music, writing, and reading.

Survivors include her father of Twin Falls; her mother of Idaho Falls; a son, David Aaron Robinett of Pocatello; three brothers: Robert of Boise, Craig of Pocatello, and Steven of Twin Falls; and a sister, Becca Ellis of Twin Falls.
