Douglas W. Dickson,
57, beloved son of Stanley W. and Sharon L. Dickson, passed away January 14, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Indianapolis, IN on April 13, 1957, Doug graduated from Lawrence Central H.S. and Ivy Tech. He was a property manager at the Stutz Building for 20 years and involved in real estate for the majority of his career. His fondest memories were of family vacations, especially the beaches of Hilton Head Island and of Naples, Florida.
He is survived by his parents, Stan and Sharon, the love of his life, Naida Hamilton and their puppy Meka; siblings: David (Cindy) Dickson and Lynn (Jim) MacAbee; nieces and nephews: Christopher, Cody and Gabriel Dickson, Emma, Nathaniel, Johnathan and Claire MacAbee; great-niece Lillian Dickson plus aunts, uncles, many cousins and friends.
Doug’s easy-going manner, gentle spirit and love of family will be missed by all. The family would like to thank all of the many doctors and nurses who provided such excellent and loving care.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January, 19, from 10:00 am to 12:00 Noon, at Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary, 2126 East 71st Street, Indianapolis. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 Noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Indianapolis.
