Ken Stanley Obituary                                   

Dr. Ken Stanley died on May 23, 2005 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Ken felt passionate about his family and cardiology practice. Ken was a graduate of Lawrence Central High School (1975), Butler University (1979), and Indiana University School of Medicine (1983). Ken was inducted into Phi Kappa Phi at Butler University for academic excellence. He completed his residency and fellowship in cardiology at Methodist Hospital. He joined Heartland Cardiology (later named Indiana Heart Associates) in 1988. He was a member of the American College of Cardiology, Indiana State Medical Association, American Medical Association, and the American Heart Association. Ken was an avid tennis player and sports fan. He was fond of basketball and a longtime supporter of IU and the Pacers. Ken was a competitive tennis player and worked as a tennis pro for Devon Country Club. Ken is survived by three daughters: Stephanie, Hillary and Meredith; mother: Redith Stanley Tuttle; brother: Keith Stanley, sister-in-law: Elaine Stanley, two nephews: Paul and Craig Stanley, and loving companion: Kris Kinghorn. A memorial service will be held at Tabernacle Presbyterian Church on Thursday, May 25, 2005 at 10 a.m., with visitation Wednesday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the church. Memorial donations may be made to the Kenneth C. Stanley Scholarship Endowment co Community Hospital Foundation (1500 Ritter Ave. Indpls., IN 46219) or Young Life of Indianapolis (418 East 34th St., Indianapolis, IN 46205). Services entrusted to Shirley Brothers Fishers - Castleton Chapel.
