Thomas John Sukup

Shoals – 64, passed away August 7, 2021 in French Lick, IN. He was born in Chicago November 25, 1956 to the late John Peter and Janet Laura (Greger) Sukup. Tom was a 1975 graduate of Lawrence Central High School and attended Ball State University. Tom's employment through the years included working as a manufacturer's representative of electronic components for John Sukup, Inc., as an independent carpenter for a restoration company, and he worked on the renovation of the French Lick Springs Hotel and West Baden Springs Hotel.

Tom was an Eagle Scout, a life member of the NRA, and participated in Motocross racing in his younger days. He was especially proud of the fact that he built his house by himself with his own hands. Tom loved the outdoors, canoeing in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, reading, and spending time with family and friends, with whom he had many spirited discussions. He was very generous in going out of his way to help anyone in need.

Tom is survived by his wife, Veronika Sukupova, whom he married July 24, 1999 in Slovakia; his sons, John and Adam Sukup; brothers, Jim (Mary) and Bill; two nieces; and a great-niece and great-nephew.
