Obituary for Carl M. Tyra

54, passed away January 30, 2011. Carl was born in Compton, CA, October 1, 1956, to Jean H. Tyra and Sally Murray Tyra. He lived most of his life in Lawrence, IN, and southern California. Carl was an excellent painter. He loved riding motorcycles and being with family and friends. Carl was predeceased in death by his mother, Sally Quinn, and his loving brother, Troy Tyra. He is survived by his son, Cody (Heather) Tyra; and two grandchildren, Skyler and Cole; father, Jean H. (Pat) Tyra; brothers, Jean (Midge) Tyra, Wil (Tori) Tyra, Jeff (Samantha) Fischer, Don Fischer, and Craig (Elizabeth) Hellmer; sisters, Cindy Knope and Christi Torres. Also, many nieces and nephews that he dearly loved. Visitation will be Saturday, February 5, 2011 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of services at 2:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St., Indianapolis.
